Welcome to Kindergarten!

While I know we have some time before we truly go "back to school," I wanted to welcome my new Lemons Mill kindergarten kids and families!

 

I am so excited to welcome you all to the new Lemons Mill Elementary School family! We have an amazing school and a wonderful Kindergarten year planned! I will try to put some pictures up as soon as I'm given the "ok!" For now, enjoy the sunny summer days and be sure to check for more blog updates in the future!

 

 

 

 

Field Day/Class Competitions

Both the morning and afternoon classes had a blast as we wrapped our year up with field day and class competitions!

The morning class cheered their team on!

However Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Harpole's Top Dogs took the AM trophy!

 

Our afternoon MVP's stole the show and brought back the trophy for the PM class competitions!

We hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing summer!!

Can you believe these kids will soon be first graders?!  

While we only have a few days left, we're still hard at work at centers and continue to learn new things each day!

And they're off!

We're busy as usual in kindergarten!

Mrs. Combs, our guidance counselor, visited us and shared a lesson on being good friends to others.

Congratulations to Brenna, Mary, and Maria in our morning class for winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the our class for the art contest hosted by Mrs. Halsey!

Students have learned about horses as well as many facts about Kentucky this week as we prepared for the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.

 Of course everyone had loads of fun in racing in our own Kindergarten Kentucky Derby!

 

Congratulations to Erica, Savannah and Graham (not pictured) for winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the our class for the art contest hosted by Mrs. Halsey!

Everyone enjoyed celebrating Valentine's day this past Friday! Thank you to all who donated items for our party or even came to join us! It was a special day celebrating with our friends!
